This week’s “Ghosts” takes a slight detour from the usual Woodstone B&B antics to focus on matters of the heart – or rather, the spectral equivalent. In “Smooching and Smushing,” Sasappis, the resident Lenape ghost, gets a chance to connect with his longtime crush, Shiki, but there’s a slight hitch: she’s haunting a different location, across the dreaded ghost boundary.
Naturally, this requires some teamwork from the living and the dead. Jay, Sam, and the rest of the ghostly gang join forces to repair the ghost trap, a device that could potentially send Sasappis across the divide to finally express his feelings. But anyone who’s watched “Ghosts” knows that gadgets and gizmos rarely work as planned in Woodstone, so expect some hilarious hiccups along the way.
The episode title, “Smooching and Smushing,” certainly hints at a romantic storyline, albeit with a ghostly twist. Will Sasappis finally get to woo his spectral sweetheart? Or will the ghost trap malfunction, leading to more chaotic fun at the B&B? Find out Thursday at 8:30 PM ET/PT on CBS.
