Gina Rodriguez has been announced as a series regular in the upcoming third season of ABC’s Will Trent. The show’s mid-season premiere date is yet to be confirmed.
Rodriguez will play Marion Alba, an Assistant District Attorney who is new to Atlanta. Her character is described as charismatic and confident. In a twist of fate, Marion and Will Trent (played by Ramón Rodríguez) are forced to work together on a case involving Atlanta gangs, despite their initial encounter falling flat.
The drama series follows Special Agent Will Trent of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI). Trent’s unique perspective helps him solve challenging cases. The show also stars Erika Christensen, Iantha Richardson, Jake McLaughlin, and Sonja Sohn.
