Things are getting theatrical—and decadent—on this week’s Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star. Airing Wednesday at 8 PM on BBC Three, episode six brings multi-hyphenate icon Billy Porter into the judging hot seat, alongside West End star Marisha Wallace.
The challenge? Transforming five of the Kit Kat Klub dancers from the West End revival of Cabaret, where Porter currently holds court as the Emcee. The MUAs are tasked with recreating make-up designer Guy Common’s distinctive looks for the show, adding a fresh spin to the iconic characters.
Back at Glow Up Studios, the bottom two face a Face Off elimination challenge: the perfect doll eye. Precision and symmetry are key, with less time than their competitors, as they battle to avoid packing their brushes. This week’s theme, “decadence,” sets the bar high, demanding looks that are rich, luxurious, and anything but understated.
With Porter’s discerning eye and Wallace’s stage experience, the pressure cooker is set to high. This episode aims to be a full-on spectacle, blending the high-stakes energy of reality competition with the theatricality of live performance.
Glow Up airs Wednesday, June 4 at 8 PM on BBC Three.
