Gold Rush “Brother vs. Cousin” (Discovery, Friday, December 20, 2024)

Gold Rush Key Art

Family ties are about to be tested—and possibly severed—in the Klondike. This week’s Gold Rush, “Brother vs. Cousin,” finds Tony Beets stirring the pot, as he so often does, by placing his son, Mike Beets, under the watchful eye of his cousin, also named Mike. This is not a recipe for smooth operations. Let’s just say these two personalities seem about as compatible as a grizzly bear and a salmon. One suspects this power play by Tony is less about efficient gold mining and more about a twisted form of family entertainment.

Meanwhile, over on Dominion Creek, Parker Schnabel is rolling the dice with a new cut and a truly impressive ditch—a gamble that could either catapult him back into the gold game or leave him in a very deep, very expensive hole. It’s the kind of audacious move that defines Parker’s mining style: go big or go home, preferably with a lot of gold.

So, is this the week that familial tensions finally boil over and derail a mining operation? Will Parker strike it rich or strike out? Tune in to find out.
