Golf Clubs and Stolen IDs: A Wild Night on “Police 24/7” (The CW, Thursday, January 30, 2025)

Just another night on the streets for law enforcement, or at least that’s what “Police 24/7” wants you to believe. This week, the show takes a look into the unpredictable world of policing across eight different U.S. cities, and if the preview is anything to go by, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

Among the incidents featured, there’s a gas station brawl that escalates to the point of a golf club being wielded as a weapon. Because nothing says “I’ve lost my temper” quite like turning a sporting good into a blunt instrument. Elsewhere, officers deal with a shoplifter whose haul goes beyond the usual five-finger discounts. This particular individual has a collection of stolen IDs and credit cards, raising the stakes from petty theft to something considerably more serious.

And then there’s the DUI suspect who, in an awkward twist, recognizes one of the arresting officers. While the show plays up the “it’s a small world” angle, it’s a reminder that police work often involves interacting with people from all walks of life, sometimes under less than ideal circumstances.

“Police 24/7” offers a raw, often chaotic, look at what law enforcement deals with on a nightly basis.

“Police 24/7” airs Thursday at 9/8c on The CW.
