Monday’s broadcast of Good Morning America sets up a morning of sharp tonal contrasts, sandwiching a celebrity cooking free-for-all between a serious sit-down interview and a new human-interest segment. The morning’s main event is Diane Sawyer’s exclusive interview with Eric Dane, an actor who has built a career on screen as both a heartthrob in Grey’s Anatomy and a tormented father in Euphoria. The conversation with Sawyer will likely touch on the full breadth of that work.
Pivoting hard from that discussion, the show will then throw a trio of personalities into a pizza-making competition. The “Slice and the City” segment features chef Marcus Samuelsson attempting to corral comedian Chris Redd and actress Caroline Rhea in a culinary battle.
The episode also kicks off a new series, “What Fills Your Cup,” starting its tour in Philadelphia. Anchored by Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, and Michael Strahan, it’s a packed two hours that aims to hit every note on the morning show scale, from hard-hitting interviews to lighthearted fun.
Good Morning America airs from 7:00-9:00 a.m. EDT on ABC.
