Good Morning America welcomes KATSEYE, a six-member global girl group, actress Cate Blanchett, and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to the show.
KATSEYE, a girl group created based on the K-pop training and development system, was formed through the collaboration of HYBE and Geffen Records. The group participated in the audition program, “The Debut: Dream Academy,” and was selected based on a combination of votes from viewers and evaluators’ scores. The members of KATSEYE are Manon Bannerman, Sophia Laforteza, Daniela Avanzini, Lara Rajagopalan, Megan Skiendiel, and Yoonchae Jeong. The group released the song “Debut” on June 28, 2024, and will officially debut on August 16, 2024, with their first EP, “SIS (Soft Is Strong).”
Cate Blanchett, an Australian actress, joins the show to discuss her upcoming film, “Borderlands.” Blanchett, known for her acclaimed work in “Tár,” plays Lilith, an infamous outlaw, in the film adaptation of the popular video game series. “Borderlands,” directed by Eli Roth, is set to release in theaters on August 9, 2024.
Nancy Pelosi, the first woman to become Speaker of the House, is on the show to discuss her book, “The Art of Power.” Pelosi, who served as Speaker from 2007-2011 and 2019-2023, shares her historic legacy and the fighting spirit that has always animated her.
