On Wednesday, May 8, 2024, Good Morning America welcomes actress Lena Waithe, social entrepreneur and author Nadya Okamoto, sports anchor Elle Duncan, and ABC’s e-commerce editor Tory Johnson for exciting conversations and segments.

Lena Waithe, an actress, producer, and screenwriter, joins the show to discuss her role in the upcoming Apple TV+ series Dark Matter. Based on the international bestseller by Blake Crouch, the series follows a physicist who is abducted into an alternate version of his life, triggering a harrowing journey to save his true family. Waithe portrays Daniela Dessen, the wife of the protagonist Jason Dessen, played by Joel Edgerton.

Nadya Okamoto, a social entrepreneur and author, joins the show to discuss her work in menstrual health advocacy. At 16, she founded the non-profit organization Period Inc. to address the stigma surrounding menstrual health and provide access to menstrual hygiene products. Okamoto has also authored the book Period Power: A Manifesto for the Menstrual Movement. Lena and Nadya will also be on GMA3 later in the day.

Elle Duncan, a sports anchor for ESPN, will be on the show to talk about her career in sports journalism and broadcasting. Duncan, an Atlanta native, started as an intern for a sports radio show and has since become a well-known sports anchor, co-hosting SportsCenter and joining Good Morning America as a guest.

Tory Johnson will be presenting the latest “Deals and Steals,” offering viewers exclusive deals and savings on a variety of products.

Good Morning America airs Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 7:00 a.m. on ABC.
