Wednesday’s edition of Good Morning America pairs two very different kinds of storytellers, putting the worlds of animated adventure and investigative journalism side-by-side. Yonas Kibreab, the young actor lending his voice to the lead character in Disney and Pixar’s new film Elio, will be in the studio. The film follows a boy who is accidentally transported across the galaxy and mistaken for Earth’s ambassador, putting Kibreab at the center of a major animated release.
Following him is Jackie Jesko, the director behind the new Hulu documentary Barbara Walters Tell Me Everything. The film examines the life and career of the pioneering journalist, whose own work often defined the television interview format. Jesko’s visit to the very network where Walters built her legacy should supply a compelling conversation about the challenges of capturing such a formidable figure on screen.
The show continues its cross-country trip with the “What Fills Your Cup” series, stopping in Chicago to find more stories of local inspiration. And for viewers looking for bargains, e-commerce editor Tory Johnson returns with another Deals & Steals segment, a recurring feature that has become a staple of the broadcast.
Good Morning America airs from 7:00-9:00 a.m. EDT on ABC.
