This Friday, November 22, 2024, Graham Norton returns with another installment of his eponymous chat show, and he’s certainly curated a fascinating lineup for BBC One at 10:40 PM.
Leading the charge is Nicole Kidman, an actress who’s no stranger to the awards circuit, here to discuss her latest project, “Babygirl,” described as an erotic thriller. Kidman’s always been an engaging guest, capable of both dishing out witty anecdotes and offering thoughtful insights into the craft of acting. It’s likely that Norton will dig into the more salacious elements of “Babygirl,” but with Kidman, you also expect a certain level of class and charisma.
Joining Kidman is Cynthia Erivo who is on hand to promote the highly anticipated film adaptation of “Wicked,” in which she takes on the iconic role of the Wicked Witch of the West. This casting has been the subject of endless fan speculation and debate, so Norton will surely want to know what Erivo’s interpretation will bring to a role so well known by theatergoers, the movie opens today.
Following on from that dramatic powerhouse is James Norton, no relation to the host, promoting his new film, “Joy.” This isn’t your typical movie fodder, looking into the early years of IVF, promising a more thoughtful conversation. It’ll be interesting to see how Norton handles the subject matter in an environment typically more accustomed to lighthearted banter.
And because no Graham Norton episode is complete without a dash of comedy, Chris McCausland, the comedian who’s been winning over audiences on “Strictly,” will also be on the couch. McCausland’s got a new stand-up show titled “Yonks!” to promote, and his particular brand of observational humor has been increasingly popular.
To round out the evening’s entertainment, Benson Boone, a rising star in the music world, will take to the stage to perform “Beautiful Things,” a song from his album “Fireworks & Rollerblades.” Boone is relatively new to the scene, so Norton’s show gives him a big platform to win over some new fans. It certainly makes for an eclectic mix of guests, something that Norton always seems to excel at curating.
This episode appears ready to deliver a good mix of A-list movie star wattage, serious discussion and laugh-out-loud moments.
