Graham Norton to host ITV’s “Wheel of Fortune” Reboot
Graham Norton to host ITV’s “Wheel of Fortune” Reboot.
In 2024, viewers of ITV1 and ITVX will once again be able to watch contestants spin the Wheel of Fortune in hopes of winning a cash prize. Graham Norton will host the show based on the popular global brand, which is being produced by Whisper North, a division of the Whisper Group that is owned by Sony Pictures Television.
What is Wheel of Fortune about
The epic game show, in which contestants spin a giant carnival wheel for a chance at a life-changing cash prize, will return for an 8 x 60 run, including two celebrity specials.
In this exciting game of skill and chance, players spin the wheel to win cash, then select a clue letter. They win multiples of the amount for each correct letter they find in the puzzle. A spin of the wheel featuring ‘bankrupts’ and ‘lose a turn’ could wipe out the contestants’ entire winnings, so the stakes are high.
They can win cash and other prizes, which will be added to their cash pool and make it easier for them to advance to the bonus round. The stakes are high, and anyone can win, but only one contestant will get the chance to increase their cash pot by a significant amount.
What does Graham say
Graham Norton said: “I’m beyond excited to be bringing such an iconic American show to a new British audience. My first ever TV job was a game show on ITV so this feels like coming full circle. You might even call it a wheel!”
