Fishing, France, and a bit of friendly rivalry – that’s the recipe for this week’s “The Grand Fishing Adventure” on ITV4. Ali Hamidi and Bobby Zamora head to Iktus in France for the first half of a two-part special. Their objective? Catch a koi each and a carp weighing over 50 lbs, all while being observed by underwater cameras. Easy, right? Not so much.
This episode finds the guys wrestling not just with fish but with temperamental underwater equipment. As the carp retreat to the murky depths, avoiding the cameras’ gaze, Ali and Bobby’s fishing skills – and patience – are put to the test.
The challenge takes a turn when Bobby goes rogue, grabbing an extra rod in hopes of snagging a fish regardless of the rules. Ali, ever the stickler, promptly issues a yellow card. Is this just playful competition or is genuine tension bubbling beneath the surface?
With live underwater screens providing real-time glimpses of the action – or lack thereof – viewers get a front-row seat to the anglers’ triumphs and frustrations. Tune in to ITV4 on Tuesday, 29 April at 9:00 PM BST to see if they can land their prize catches.
