Prime Video is handing over the keys to The Grand Tour, tapping a new, younger presenting trio as it preps the motoring franchise for a post-Clarkson era.
Auto YouTubers Thomas Holland and James Engelsman—best known for the hit channel Throttle House—will front the new iteration alongside viral trainspotter Francis Bourgeois, according to a report in The Sun. The streamer has yet to confirm the casting or release details, but the move signals a sharp generational pivot for the long-running format.
The original trio—Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May—walked away from the series earlier this year, wrapping a nearly two-decade run that began with the BBC’s Top Gear before transitioning to Prime Video in 2016 under a blockbuster Amazon deal.
Holland and Engelsman bring a built-in fanbase—Throttle House has racked up more than 3.2 million subscribers—and Bourgeois, who first gained fame for his eccentric and joyful trainspotting TikToks, adds Gen Z-friendly comic energy to the reboot.
No word yet on whether the new team will follow the same long-form travel special format, but the tone and casting clearly aim to recalibrate The Grand Tour for a new digital-native audience while keeping one foot on the gas.
