Great American Family is bringing the tinsel early this year, locking in Friday, June 27 at 6:00 PM ET for the return of Great American Christmas in July—a summer tentpole that’s evolved into a key touchpoint in the network’s year-round holiday play.
The month-long stunt serves as a warm-up to the fifth anniversary of Great American Christmas, which bows this October. For Bill Abbott and Great American Media, it’s another step in fortifying their core brand promise—faith-forward, family-first holiday fare with mass appeal. Since launching the banner four years ago, the company has cranked out nearly 100 original Christmas movies.
This year’s July run includes sneak peeks at new originals premiering later in 2025, plus never-before-seen behind-the-scenes moments from upcoming productions. Themed marathons will spotlight everything from royal romance titles to military tributes and actor-focused spotlights.
Marquee names anchoring the lineup include Candace Cameron Bure, Danica McKellar, and Lori Loughlin, along with Mario Lopez, Trevor Donovan, and Cameron Mathison. Fan engagement is also baked in: July 19 will feature a lineup celebrating the “spirit of the season,” while July 26 is dedicated to viewer-ranked fan favorites.
