Great American Family has announced the start of production for its original film, Home Sweet Christmas, starring Candace Cameron Bure and Cameron Mathison. The movie will premiere during the network’s Great American Christmas 2024 season.
Home Sweet Christmas follows successful mergers and acquisitions attorney Sophie Marlow (Bure), who returns to her hometown of Waynesbridge, Washington, after the passing of her great uncle. Sophie inherits a 60% ownership stake in Marlow Maple Meadows, a sugar maple forest.
Sophie revisits the property and reminisces about her childhood memories. Here, she meets Sam (Mathison), a childhood friend who also inherits a 40% stake in the property.
While a quick sale of the inheritance seems likely, Sophie and Sam realise they are not ready to part with their shared past.
The previously announced Jingle Bells, Wedding Bells will not be going into production in 2024.
Home Sweet Christmas is produced by Syrup Studios in association with Candy Rock Entertainment. It is directed by Paula Elle and written by Kevin Commins and Robin Dunne. Executive producers include Candace Cameron Bure, Ford Englerth, Jeffery Brooks, Holly A. Hines, Eric Jarboe, Gerald Webb, Trevor McWhinney, Paula Elle, and Martin Wood.
