PBS is plating up a fourth season of The Great American Recipe, with the culinary competition series set to return July 11. The show will air Fridays at 9:00 PM ET through August 15, with episodes available to stream via PBS.org and the PBS app.
Eight new home cooks from around the country step into the spotlight this season, each bringing personal recipes that reflect their heritage, hometowns, and family traditions. The returning panel of judges—Tiffany Derry, Timothy Hollingsworth, and Francis Lam—are back to evaluate the flavor, story, and presentation of each dish. Alejandra Ramos returns as host.
Al Roker is set to guest judge the season opener, marking a crossover for the longtime NBC personality. A second guest judge is expected to be revealed later in the run.
Season 4 was filmed on location at Green Door Gourmet in Nashville, Tennessee. The finale will see the top three home cooks compete for the title, with one dish each week selected by the judges as the standout.
The Great American Recipe is co-produced by VPM and Objective Media Group. The series continues to anchor PBS’ summer schedule with food-forward, feel-good competition fare that leans into personal storytelling and broad regional appeal.
