The Great British Bake Off returns to Channel 4 for its 15th season, setting up its iconic tent once more in the picturesque grounds of Welford Park. This season will be an enticing mix of classic British bakes, intricate patisserie, and imaginative creations.
In the season premiere, airing on 24 September 2024, at 8:00 pm, hosts Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding welcome a new batch of bakers to the famous tent. Over the course of the episode, the bakers will face a series of challenges designed to test their skills, creativity, and knowledge.
The Signature challenge will see the bakers attempt to elevate the classic loaf cake to new heights, showcasing their unique interpretations and culinary skills. Following this, the ingredients for the Technical challenge will be revealed, with a twist that is sure to keep the bakers on their toes.
The episode’s Showstopper challenge will truly put the bakers’ creativity to the test as they attempt to confuse and bamboozle judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith with hyper-realistic illusion cakes. The pressure is on to create desserts that are both visually stunning and delicious.
As the bakers strive to impress, the judges will be keeping a keen eye out for the season’s first Star Baker. At the same time, one baker will find themselves leaving the tent and hanging up their apron.
