Things are getting serious in the kitchen as “Great British Menu” reaches its grand finals week. This Wednesday, the eight regional champions will face their ultimate test, presenting their main course creations to the formidable judging panel. With only a limited number of spots at the banquet, the pressure is intense. This year’s feast celebrates great Britons of the past and also marks the 20th year of “Great British Menu” itself.
Adding even more heat to the competition is the arrival of Clare Smyth, the three Michelin-starred chef known for her acclaimed London restaurant, Core. Smyth joins regular judges Tom Kerridge, Lorna McNee, and Ed Gamble to decide which chefs will earn a place at the prestigious banquet.
On the menu tonight: venison, lamb, beef, and a daring curried goat.
