“Great British Menu” is kicking off the weeks culinary competition in Wales. Four chefs face the heat, tasked with creating canapes, starters, and fish courses that pay tribute to great Britons of the past.
With dishes inspired by figures like St. David and NHS founder Nye Bevan, the chefs hope to impress 2022 Champion of Champions Spencer Metzger, who presides over the judging panel. Expect creative interpretations of classic Welsh ingredients, including a leek and potato soup and a scallop dish featuring horseradish and nasturtium.
The ultimate goal? A place at the grand banquet, held this year at the historic Blenheim Palace. As always, “Great British Menu” blends culinary artistry with a healthy dose of competition, offering viewers a delicious taste of British history and gastronomic innovation.
