“The Great Celebrity Bake Off” returns this Sunday with another batch of famous faces braving the heat of the tent – all for a good cause, of course. This week’s lineup includes Roman Kemp, Amelia Dimoldenberg, Sarah Beeny, and Maxine Peake, each hoping to impress judges Paul Hollywood and newcomer Caroline Waldegrave (standing in for Prue Leith who will be back for the next regular non-celeb series).
The Signature challenge sees cupcakes taken to new, and presumably gravity-defying, heights. The Technical, always a source of stress-induced baking disasters, involves a classic recipe that should be simple but rarely is. Will our celebrities rise to the occasion or get in a flap? Finally, the Showstopper challenge asks them to recreate their most memorable romantic dates in biscuit form. Expect a sugary sweet display of edible affections, hopefully with less heartbreak than some real-life dates.
