There’s another delightful helping of “The Great Celebrity Bake Off,” as four new celebrities brave the heat of the iconic tent. This week, musician Self Esteem (Rebecca Lucy Taylor), comedian Tommy Tiernan, actress and writer Meera Syal, and comedian Adam Buxton don their aprons, ready to tackle the signature, technical, and showstopper challenges.
The signature bake focuses on a breakfast staple: crumpets. Expect plenty of wonky shapes and uneven cooking times as the celebrities attempt to master this deceptively simple treat. The technical challenge requires precise piping skills, likely leading to a few panicked expressions and some creative solutions. And for the showstopper, the bakers are tasked with recreating their celebrity heroes in pastry form, a challenge that is sure to result in some hilarious and impressive creations.
With returning judge Paul Hollywood and new addition Caroline Waldegrave offering their expert critiques, and hosts Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond providing comedic relief, this episode looks to be another feel-good installment in the “Bake Off” saga. Plus, it’s all for a good cause, as the show continues to support Stand Up to Cancer.
Tune in to Channel 4 on Sunday, April 6 at 7:40 PM for a slice of celebrity baking action.
