This Sunday, FOX’s animated comedy “The Great North” takes family quirkiness to new heights (or perhaps depths, considering the dungeon involved). In “Dungeon Aunt Dragons Adventure,” the Tobin family is back with their usual Alaskan antics, offering up a mix of the heartfelt and the just plain weird.
Aunt Dirt, bless her eccentric soul, has found a new obsession: role-playing games. And it’s not just a casual interest. She’s on a quest for vengeance.
Meanwhile, Beef Tobin finds himself oddly entranced by the world of bead crafts. Yes, beads. It’s a storyline only “The Great North” could pull off, and it’s sure to give Nick Offerman, the voice of Beef, some wonderfully offbeat material to work with.
With the reliably excellent voice talents of Jenny Slate, Will Forte, Megan Mullally, and the continuing presence of Alanis Morissette (as herself, naturally), “The Great North” delivers consistently oddball laughs, grounded by the Tobins’ surprisingly relatable family bond.
Tune into FOX on Sunday, May 4 at 9:31 PM ET for “Dungeon Aunt Dragons Adventure.”
