Alaska’s most eccentric animated family returns to FOX this Thursday with a new episode of The Great North that’s equal parts quirky and heartfelt. Airing at 9:31 PM ET, Reservoir Dad Adventure (Season 5, Episode 14) finds Beef Tobin, the family patriarch voiced by Nick Offerman, trading in his usual Alaskan pursuits for the high-octane thrills of stunt fishing—whatever that might entail.
While Beef’s off chasing aquatic adrenaline, it seems he’s neglected his usual family obligations. Enter Aunt Dirt (Megan Mullally) who decides a replacement is in order and stages a good old-fashioned contest. Expect all the show’s usual voice talent to join the fun, with Jenny Slate and Will Forte rounding out the core cast.
The Great North has settled comfortably into its fifth season, continuing to deliver the same brand of off-kilter humor and close-knit family moments that’s helped cement its niche with viewers. This week’s episode leans into the show’s trademark absurdity, and yes, Alanis Morissette’s voice as Judy Tobin’s imaginary friend is still a thing.
