Things are about to get even more precarious in the pottery shed. The remaining contestants on “The Great Pottery Throw Down” face another round of clay-based challenges, and this week, time is of the essence. Literally.

Host Siobhán McSweeney returns with her signature blend of wit and encouragement, while judges Keith Brymer Jones and Rich Miller continue their quest for perfectly formed ceramics. This week, the potters will attempt to craft functioning mantelpiece clocks. Which, let’s be frank, seems like a recipe for disaster. Clay and intricate mechanisms don’t exactly scream “perfect match.”

But the real test of nerves will come with a surprise blindfold challenge. Yes, you read that right. These already stressed-out artisans will be asked to create…something…while deprived of their sense of sight. One can only imagine the wobbly handles, the misaligned spouts, and the general air of panicked confusion.

Tune in to Channel 4 this Sunday, January 12, 2025, at 7:45 PM to witness the clay-slinging chaos unfold.
