The medical drama Grey’s Anatomy returns for its 21st season on ABC. The season premiere, titled “If Walls Could Talk,” airs on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 10 pm.
This season will feature 18 episodes, a notable increase from the previous season’s 10 which of course, like most shows last year, was affected by the actors and writers strike. The story picks up on several cliffhangers from the previous season, including Richard Webber’s decision to retire, Jo Wilson’s unexpected pregnancy, and the fallout from the interns’ defense of Lucas Adams, whose career now hangs in the balance after a patient’s death.
Fan-favorite Dr. Jackson Avery returns as a guest star, along with Dr. Sydney Heron, who makes a long-awaited comeback to the series after a 17-year absence.
Chandra Wilson and James Pickens Jr., two of the show’s original cast members, reprise their roles, joined by Kevin McKidd, Kim Raver, Caterina Scorsone, and Camilla Luddington.
