Grimsburg, the animated town populated by eccentric detective Margie and a cast of equally oddball characters, is about to get a whole lot weirder. This Sunday’s episode, “Granddaddy Issues,” brings not just relationship drama but a full-blown bomb threat to the annual Virgin Pageant.
While Flute deals with a tricky romance with a distant relative of his partner Kang – a situation ripe for misunderstandings and cultural clashes – the Grimsburg PD faces a real crisis: someone wants to blow up the town’s most cherished (and arguably strangest) tradition.
Naturally, it’s up to Detective Summers, voiced by Jon Hamm, to crack the case. And what better way to do that than to go undercover as a pageant contestant, coached by none other than former Virgin Pageant winner, Wynona.
With a voice cast that includes Erinn Hayes, Rachel Dratch, and Alan Tudyk, “Grimsburg” delivers a steady stream of quirky humor and surprisingly sharp social commentary. “Granddaddy Issues” airs Sunday, March 9th at 9:30 PM ET/PT on FOX.
