Things are about to get thorny for the Grosse Pointe Garden Society. After their annual gala devolved into a scandalous afterparty, the ladies of the club find themselves facing some very un-manicured truths in this week’s episode, “The Fallow Period.” Birdie, Catherine, Brett, and Alice – the quartet at the heart of NBC’s blend of comedy, drama, and crime – must deal with the fallout of their actions, and judging by the whispers around town, it’s not going to be pretty.
We know these women share a secret, a rather large one involving a certain unfortunate incident with a shovel. As details from the gala seep out, it seems their carefully cultivated image of suburban perfection might wilt under the scrutiny. Can they keep their stories straight? Or will the weeds of their deception choke the life out of their carefully tended lives?
