Guilt, the award-winning Scottish thriller, returns to PBS for its third and final season premiering on Sunday April 28. The darkly funny series follows the lives of two polar opposite brothers, Max and Jake McCall, as they navigate a web of crime and intrigue.
In the season premiere, titled “The Clothes on Our Backs,” Max and Jake find themselves back in Edinburgh, where they soon face a familiar danger. The episode explores the consequences of their past actions as they confront enemies, old and new.
The critically acclaimed series, written and created by Neil Forsyth, initially centers on the brothers’ involvement in a hit-and-run incident. As the story progresses, it expands to include a large cast and intertwining storylines, all connected by the theme of guilt.
The cast of Guilt includes Mark Bonnar as unscrupulous lawyer Max McCall, Jamie Sives as his softer-hearted brother Jake, and Emun Elliott as long-suffering private eye Kenny Burns. The series also features Phyllis Logan as Maggie Lynch, a formidable presence in Edinburgh’s crime underworld, and Sara Vickers as Erin Lynch, who tries to distance herself from the family business.
Guilt has received widespread acclaim, with The Guardian (UK) hailing it as “Scotland’s answer to Fargo.”
Don’t miss the highly anticipated final season premiere of Guilt, airing on PBS at 10.00 pm on Sunday, April 28, 2024.
