Guy Fieri is swapping out his signature flame-emblazoned shirts for something a little more nautical as he sets sail with his family on Carnival’s Mardi Gras for “Guy’s Ultimate Family Cruise.” The one-hour special documents the trip, which celebrated his son Ryder’s high school graduation, and will air on Friday, January 31st at 9 pm ET/PT on Food Network and stream the same day on Max.
Joined by his wife Lori, and sons Hunter and Ryder, along with a group of their nearest and dearest, the Fieris departed from Port Canaveral, Florida. The show promises a voyage filled with culinary delights, competitive fun, and plenty of family bonding. “It’s a dynamite celebration on this next-level family vacation!” says Fieri .
The cruise itinerary includes stops in The Bahamas and the Dominican Republic, and features a range of global flavors. From Peking Duck to an Indian feast, and a Bahamian spread, the ship’s dining experiences appear to be as much a focus as the destinations.
Beyond the food, the special will cover excursions such as snorkeling and a ride on the ship’s roller coaster, all while highlighting the close-knit relationships of the Fieri family. Additionally, viewers will get a behind-the-scenes tour of Guy’s Pig and Anchor, where BBQ is smoked and craft beers are brewed. The show will also feature Fieri giving Ryder a lesson in making burgers at Guy’s Burger Joint, culminating in a pizza-making competition between families.
The production is a joint effort from Knuckle Sandwich and Citizen Pictures for Food Network.
