Motorcycle racer and engineering enthusiast Guy Martin takes on a new challenge in the series premiere of “Guy Martin: Arctic Warrior,” airing this Tuesday. The series follows Martin’s experience training with the Royal Marines at Camp Viking, situated a frigid 100 miles north of the Arctic Circle.
Over the course of a week, Martin immerses himself in Arctic warfare training, picking up survival skills and getting a taste of life as a Royal Marine. The 55-minute premiere also touches on the geopolitical significance of winter warfare, particularly in light of NATO’s response to Russia’s recent actions. Beyond the physical challenges, Martin also undergoes a final test that pushes his limits.
“Guy Martin: Arctic Warrior” premieres Tuesday, 29 April at 8:30 PM AEST on SBS VICELAND.
