Guy Ritchie is doubling down on television. Hot on the heels of his Netflix series The Gentlemen, the filmmaker is developing a new untitled crime drama for Paramount+ with Showtime, featuring a cast led by Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren. The series, currently in production in London, marks Ritchie’s continued embrace of the small screen.
Hardy is set to play Harry Da Souza, a fixer operating within a powerful Irish crime family based in London. Brosnan will portray the family’s patriarch, Conrad Harrigan, while Mirren takes on the role of the formidable matriarch, Maeve Harrigan. The series will center on a high-stakes conflict between two rival families deeply embedded in international criminal activities.
Ritchie, known for his fast-paced, stylized storytelling, is joined by a strong creative team, including Jez Butterworth and Ronan Bennett. The series hails from Paramount+ with Showtime. Executives at the streamer see the project as a potential tentpole offering, aiming to capitalize on the combined star power of Hardy, Brosnan, and Mirren, alongside Ritchie’s established brand of gritty crime drama. A 2025 global premiere is planned.
The untitled series is a production of Paramount+ with Showtime. Executive producers include Guy Ritchie, Ivan Atkinson, Marn Davies, Bill Block, and Mark Kamine.
