Things are about to get spicy in Flavortown – and not just because of the chili peppers. This Wednesday, “Guy’s Grocery Games” presents a couples cook-off, with three Flavortown chef teams going head-to-head. But there’s a twist: each chef is paired with their spouse, adding a whole new level of pressure to the usual culinary chaos.
Host Guy Fieri kicks things off with his “Newly-Fed Game,” where chefs must correctly guess their partners’ food preferences to determine their shopping budget. It’s a test of how well these couples really know each other, before they even set foot in the kitchen.
From there, it’s a race against the clock. The couples have just one hour to create a romantic date night dinner, complete with an appetizer and entrée. And just when they think they’ve got it covered, Fieri throws in a dessert round, with a catch: spouses must communicate solely via cellphone while gathering ingredients, a surefire recipe for hilarious miscommunication.
Can these culinary power couples handle the heat? Will their relationships withstand the pressure? Find out on Food Network, Wednesday, March 12th at 9:00 PM ET/PT.
