“G’wed” New Original Comedy for ITVX

G’wed, a brand-new 6-episode 30-minute comedy from Golden Path Productions, has been ordered by ITVX.

The series is set in Liverpool and will be shot on location in and around the city, featuring an exciting cast of new and up-and-coming Liverpool actors.

What is G’wed about

G’wed is a positive, heartwarming, and hilarious look at today’s teenagers and the world through their eyes.

Humour is explored as a means of “surviving” in the working class. With a wicked sense of humour, this comedy will tackle big issues like grief, sex, diversity, and class differences through the unique lens of Liverpool and the lived experience of the kids from the city.

G’wed introduces viewers to a region of the country and a cast of characters that are rarely seen on television, from the show’s anti-hero, Reece, a superficially misbehaving, potty-mouthed lad, who constantly surprises with his knowledge of John Steinbeck’s work, his knowledge of Mother Teresa’s quotes, and his incredibly mature take on grief, to Aimee, who is fiercely determined, go-getting, and emotionally mature.

The series is produced by Golden Path Productions Ltd and written by Liverpool native Danny Kenny. The Executive Producer is Mario Stylianides.

The 6 x 30 series will start filming over the Summer and premiere on ITVX in 2024.
