Hallmark Channel has announced the upcoming release of “The Christmas Quest“, starring Lacey Chabert and Kristoffer Polaha. This will be the fifteenth Hallmark Christmas movie for Chabert and the seventh for Polaha. The film was shot on location in Iceland and marks the first on-screen pairing of these veteran actors.

“The Christmas Quest” follows an archaeologist (Chabert) and her ex-husband (Polaha), an expert in ancient Norse languages, who are sent to Iceland during Christmastime in search of a legendary treasure. As competitors join the hunt, the pair find themselves swept up in a thrilling adventure, racing to prevent the treasure from falling into the wrong hands.

The movie is produced by Synthetic Cinema International and Hero Productions, with Chabert, Andrew Gernhard, Kimberley Bradley, and Jonathan Eskenas serving as executive producers. It is directed by Dustin Rikert, who also directed “A Merry Scottish Christmas”, and written by Marcy Holland, who penned “A Biltmore Christmas”.

Chabert and Polaha, who starred in two of the highest-rated cable movies of 2023, “A Merry Scottish Christmas” and “A Biltmore Christmas”, respectively, shared their excitement about the project on social media. In a video posted before the official announcement, the pair teased the idea of filming a Hallmark Christmas movie in an igloo.
