Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas, a much loved holiday tradition, returns for its 15th year on October 18, featuring 40 new original movies across Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Mystery. The network’s robust lineup of holiday films has consistently propelled it to the top of entertainment cable channel rankings among women aged 18 and above during the fourth quarter.
The holiday season kicks off with a bang as Hallmark+, the recently reimagined streaming service, introduces seven original holiday movies and four seasonal series. This includes the first-ever limited holiday scripted series, “Mistletoe Murders,” starring Sarah Drew and Peter Mooney, and “Holidazed,” featuring an all-star ensemble cast.
Hallmark+ will also debut “Finding Mr. Christmas,” a reality competition show where 10 Hallmark hunk hopefuls vie for the title of the next Hallmark superstar. The winner will make his debut in the Hallmark Channel original movie “Happy Howlidays” opposite Jessica Lowndes.
In addition to these new offerings, Hallmark+ will feature “Ready, Set, Glow!,” a three-episode unscripted series hosted by Wes Brown, showcasing spectacular holiday lights displays and the stories behind them.
Hallmark Channel’s holiday programming will include a mix of heartwarming romances, family dramas, and comedies. Notable titles include “The Christmas Quest,” shot on location in Iceland, and “The Finnish Line,” a dog-sledding adventure set in Finland.
The network will also feature a variety of holiday-themed reality and competition shows, including “Trivia at St. Nick’s,” a Christmas bar trivia tournament, and “The Christmas Charade,” a romantic comedy about a librarian who gets caught up in an undercover FBI operation.
Hallmark Channel’s holiday lineup will also feature a number of reunions and collaborations, including the reunion of “Office Space” co-stars Diedrich Bader and Richard Riehle in “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story,” and the collaboration of “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” stars Caroline Rhea and Beth Broderick in “Holiday Mismatch.”
In addition to its holiday programming, Hallmark Channel will also offer a variety of interactive experiences for fans, including the Hallmark Jingle Stop Tour, a multi-stop tour featuring Hallmark stars and sneak peeks of this year’s holiday programming, and the Hallmark Channel Christmas Cruise, a floating winter wonderland featuring top Hallmark stars and unique yuletide experiences.
Hallmark Channel’s holiday programming will culminate with the annual Merry Thanksgiving Weekend, featuring extra helpings of holiday fare, including an all-new original movie premiere on Thanksgiving night and double features throughout the weekend.
With nearly 600 hours of Hallmark original holiday content, The Very Merry Holiday Collection allows viewers to stream to their heart’s content whenever – and wherever – the holiday mood strikes.
