Hanna Esme Creed Miles on Amazon Prime

Season two of Hanna returns to Amazon Prime in July with eight one-hour episodes, following the journey of an extraordinary young woman who avoids the ruthless pursuit of a sinister government agency and tries to find out the truth about who she is. After being discovered at the end of the first season, Hanna (Esmé Creed-Miles) knows that she is not the only young woman with unparalleled skills and an elite training.

The Utrax programme has created a whole contingent of highly qualified trainees, the development of which is approaching a deadly “second phase”. Once in The Meadows, these interns shake their restrictions and see a chance of a new identity in the outside world. But this apparent freedom will have a high price.

In season two, Hanna risks her freedom to save her friend Clara (Yasmin Monet Prince) from the clutches of the Utrax program, currently led by John Carmichael (Dermot Mulroney) and his deputy Leo Garner (Anthony Welsh). Hanna finds help in the unlikely form of her former nemesis, CIA agent Marissa Wiegler (Mireille Enos), who must protect herself and Hanna from the unscrupulous organization she once trusted.

But as Hanna enters the elusive world of The Meadows and meets others like her, including Sandy (Aine Rose Daly) and Jules (Gianna Kiehl), she begins to question her role in the larger context of the Utrax killer program and, ultimately, where she stands.

Hanna Season Two premieres on Amazon Prime from July.
