Jane Seymour returns as the clever and determined Harry Wild in the fourth season of the Irish-set mystery series, Harry Wild. Acorn TV announced a two-episode premiere on Monday, May 5, for viewers in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and the UK.
Here’s the Lowdown: Season four moves the story forward a year, with the Wild/Reid Detective Agency doing very well. Harry (Seymour) and Fergus (Rohan Nedd) find themselves with a surprising new client: Harry’s own son, Charlie (Kevin Ryan). This season includes a range of cases, a puzzle at a dance school, a dangerous literary tour in Dublin, and a mystery involving a nun, who used to be a friend of Harry’s.
What This Means Now: Those who like the show can look forward to more of the enjoyable mix of mystery and wit that Harry Wild delivers. The familiar cast, including Samantha Mumba as Paula Kenny and Paul Tylak as Glenn Talbot, provide consistency, while new mysteries keep the series fresh. Fergus also hopes to attend college, but his plans are complicated when Lola receives an amazing opportunity to study in another country.
The Bigger Picture: Harry Wild remains an important show for Acorn TV, presenting a strong female lead and interesting mysteries set in Ireland. The series is a co-production with ZDF, showing its international reach. Season Four is created and written by David Logan, along with writer Jo Spain, and directed by Robert Quinn.
