HBO Drama Series “Succession” Returns October 17

Created by Jesse Armstrong, the award-winning HBO Original series SUCCESSION will debut its nine-episode season Sunday, October 17 @ 9PM ET/PT on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max. SUCCESSION explores themes of power and family dynamics through the eyes of patriarch Logan Roy (Brian Cox) and his four grown children, Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Siobhan (Sarah Snook), Roman (Kieran Culkin), and Connor (Alan Ruck).

Season three finds Logan in a perilous position, scrambling to secure familial, political, and financial alliances after he was ambushed by his rebellious son Kendall. After Kendall’s impulsive decision to expose the company’s sprawling scandal, the family is left to each contemplate their future. Tensions rise as a bitter corporate battle threatens to turn into a family civil war, with the Roy family navigating the looming question of who will take over in a post-Logan world.

The season three cast includes Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin, Alan Ruck, Nicholas Braun, Matthew Macfadyen, Peter Friedman, J. Smith-Cameron, Dagmara Dominczyk, Justine Lupe, David Rasche, Fisher Stevens, Hiam Abbass, Arian Moayed, Harriet Walter, James Cromwell, Natalie Gold, Juliana Canfield, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Zoë Winters and Jeannie Berlin returning. Additional cast includes Alexander Skarsgård, Sanaa Lathan, Linda Emond, Jihae, Adrien Brody, Hope Davis and Dasha Nekrasova.

Episode 1: “Secession”

Debut Date: Sunday, October 17 @ 9PM ET/PT

Season premiere. Following his bombshell presser, a righteous Kendall (Jeremy Strong) scrambles to find a base of operations, while Logan’s (Brian Cox) team searches for safe harbor.

Episode 2: “Mass in Time of War”

Debut Date: Sunday, October 24 @ 9PM ET/PT

Kendall (Jeremy Strong) tries to get his siblings, as well as Stewy (Arian Moayed) and Sandi (Hope Davis), on his side. Fearing his legal situation, Greg (Nicholas Braun) asks Ewan (James Cromwell) for help.

Episode 3: “The Disruption”

Debut Date: Sunday, October 31 @ 9PM ET/PT

With the DOJ at the door, Logan (Brian Cox) summons his arsenal, while Tom (Matthew Macfadyen) makes a potentially life changing offer. Kendall (Jeremy Strong) becomes obsessed with his own takedown.

The companion podcast for Succession Season 3 will launch after the season premiere with a new host, journalist Kara Swisher. Each week, Kara will unpack real-world events that echo the saga unfolding on screen. She’ll dive into family dynamics, capitalism run amok, and power unchecked with top journalists, writers, thinkers, psychologists, and cultural critics, as well as some of the people who made the show. Podcast episodes will be available each week on all podcast platforms, right after the latest episode of Succession airs on HBO Max.
