HBO Orders Comedy Series “The Chair Company” Starring Tim Robinson

HBO has announced the pickup of a new half-hour comedy series titled “The Chair Company.” The show is written and executive produced by Tim Robinson and Zach Kanin. Robinson also stars in the series.

The series follows the story of a man, played by Robinson, who finds himself entangled in a far-reaching conspiracy after an embarrassing incident at work.

The cast includes Lake Bell (“Harley Quinn,” “Mother Couch”) as Barb Trosper, Sophia Lillis (“It,” “I Am Not Okay With This”) as Natalie Trosper, Will Price (“After the Hunt,” “A Complete Unknown”) as Seth Trosper, and Joseph Tudisco (“A Brooklyn Love Story,” “FBI”) as Mike Santini. Lou Diamond Phillips (“Search Party,” “Easter Sunday”) guest starred in the pilot as Jeff Levjman.

Andrew DeYoung directed and executive produced the pilot. The series is executive produced by Tim Robinson, Zach Kanin, Adam McKay, Todd Schulman of HyperObject Industries, and Igor Srubshchik.
