HBO has ordered a new comedy series starring, written, and executive produced by Rachel Sennott, the breakout star of the critically acclaimed “Shiva Baby”. Sennott also received praise for her work in the summer hit “Bottoms”, which she co-wrote and executive produced.
The pilot episode was directed by Lorene Scafaria (HBO’s “Succession”) and executive produced by Sennott, Emma Barrie (HBO’s “Barry”), and Aida Rodgers (HBO’s “Barry”). The series follows a group of codependent friends who reunite after a period of time apart, exploring how their relationships and ambitions have changed.
The cast includes Odessa A’zion, Jordan Firstman, Miles Robbins, and True Whitaker. The pilot received executive production credits from Sennott, Barrie, Rodgers, and Scafaria.
