With Halloween approaching, the team catches a case perfectly suited for the spooky season: a wealthy lawyer is found dead in his creepy, and allegedly haunted, Victorian mansion. Morgan must use her exceptional mind to cut through the ghost stories and local folklore to find a flesh-and-blood killer who might be using the mansion’s sinister reputation to cover their tracks.
As the team works through the eerie crime scene, Captain Wagner unexpectedly reveals a hidden talent that proves crucial to cracking the case, surprising everyone and demonstrating there’s more to him than meets the eye. Back at home, friction between Morgan and her daughter Ava forces Eliott into the unenviable role of family mediator, a job that may be tougher than any police investigation.
