Producers of Hollyoaks have confirmed that Oscar Curtis will replace William Hall as Lucas Hay.
The recasting is in preparation for an upcoming issue-based plot in which Ste (Kieron Richardson), Lucas’ father, will be put through his paces as a parent.
As the protagonist “experiences the hardships and tribulations of student life,” viewers will witness him develop relationships with people his own age.
Oscar said of joining the Hollyoaks crew: “I’ve felt so welcome at Hollyoaks, the cast and crew feel like a real family. My first day was so exciting and I’m ready for the fans of the show to see the new Lucas. You can definitely expect drama, emotions and everything in between.”
Oscar’s debut on the soap will air on E4 and All 4 on March 15 and on Channel 4 the following day, March 16.
