Home and Away Celebrates 8000 Episodes with a Wedding
The long-awaited Home and Away wedding of Tane (Ethan Browne) and Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) will premiere at 7 o’clock on Monday, March 27 on Channel 7 and 7plus.
This happy event occurs several months after Felicity almost escaped death in a fiery automobile crash during the couple’s first attempt at marriage.
During the path to rehabilitation, Felicity fought off her own feelings of trauma and guilt following the accident, which led to her developing a terrible drinking addiction and breaking up with Tane.
A reconciliation between the feuding couple appeared unlikely until Felicity was alone in her rural homeland and forced to confront her issues. Felicity, intent on finding fulfilment by pledging her love to the man she has come to regard as her soul mate, surprised Tane by popping the question.
When Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) and Eden (Stephanie Panozzo) finally get around to making wedding preparations, Felicity and Tane are back on track and ready to tie the knot the very following day.
Tane plans a special surprise for his beautiful bride in the 8,000th episode. A Kaikaranga (a lady who performs a welcoming call) and poi dancers are among the customary elements of a small, private Maori wedding, which he has discreetly organised with Cash’s assistance. Cash and Eden, newly reunited, are the sole witnesses to the lovely ceremony, which takes place deep in the forest. Felicity surprises Tane by saying her wedding vows in te reo Mori, a homage to her fiancé’s native language and culture.
After the ceremony, the happy couple will travel to Salt to celebrate with family and friends, and there they will receive one final shock.
