In the upcoming episode of Home and Away, airing on Channel 5 on Monday, May 27, 2024, at 1.45 pm, baby Maia’s mother makes a surprising entrance, setting off a chain of events that leave those around her reeling.
Harper has organised a meeting between Baby Maia’s mother and Rose, unaware that the baby has gone missing. Dana, feeling guilty and terrified, rushes to the police station to report the disappearance, but her actions come too late. Rose, stressed and infuriated, directs her anger at Dana, blaming her for allowing Tane to take the baby.
With no time to lose, Rose rushes to Tane’s house, hoping to find him or at least some clues to his whereabouts. When she arrives, she is met with shock and surprise as Mackenzie and Mali are also unaware of Tane’s actions. Mackenzie allows Rose to search Tane’s room, but Mali unexpectedly stands in the doorway, defending his friend and telling Rose that she needs a search warrant. Rose is left speechless as her own boyfriend hinders her quest for justice.
At the police station, Maia’s mother, Sonia, finally arrives and shares her story with Rose and Harper. She reveals that she was moved by Rose’s words at the media event about the importance of knowing one’s roots. Sonia also discloses that Maia’s real name is Poppy, and she is eager to be reunited with her daughter.
Rose, thinking quickly, devises a plan to buy some time by insisting on routine ID checks and DNA tests before any reunion can take place. Sonia readily agrees, willing to do whatever it takes to see her baby again. However, the question remains: how long can they delay the inevitable?
Meanwhile, Levi and Mackenzie reconnect, and Mac apologises for her previous behaviour. She explains that her insecurities got the better of her, and she just wanted to know the woman Levi went home to. Levi reassures Mac that there is no competition and that she is the one he wants to be with. Their relationship strengthens as a result of this honest conversation.
