“Home Town,” the HGTV show that reliably delivers feel-good renovations and small-town charm. This time, Ben and Erin Napier are up against a ticking clock in “Making the Nest.” A new family is putting down roots in Laurel, Mississippi, thanks to the husband’s job at the local hospital. But with a toddler in tow and another baby on the way, finding the right house is more than just a want, it’s a need. Can Ben and Erin deliver the domestic goods before the stork arrives?
The Napiers have a knack for blending historical details with modern comforts, and I’m betting this renovation will be no different. Knowing their style, we can expect shiplap, repurposed wood, and maybe even a vintage clawfoot tub thrown in for good measure.
But beyond the aesthetics, “Making the Nest” reminds us that home is where life happens. It’s about creating a space where a family can grow, laugh, and, well, make a nest. While we wait to see the finished product, let’s hope there are no major construction snafus or last-minute design dilemmas to throw the Napiers off course.
This episode seems like a classic “Home Town” setup: a family with a story, a house with potential, and the Napiers’ magic touch. Will it be heartwarming? Almost certainly. Will there be a few tears shed over the finished product? Probably. Will it make me question my own life choices and yearn for a simpler existence in a small Southern town? Definitely. Tune in to HGTV this Sunday, February 23, 2025, to see how it all unfolds.
“Home Town” airs Sundays at 8/7c on HGTV.
