Is it just me, or is “cursed ground” the most dramatic way to describe plumbing problems? This week on Homestead Rescue, the Raneys are in Virginia, facing a homesteading mystery that sounds straight out of a Scooby-Doo episode.
Apparently, some homesteaders are dealing with disappearing acts of the Houdini variety—poof, gone is their water! And the food? Also mysteriously vanished. Now, I’m no wilderness expert (my survival skills peak at ordering Seamless when the power goes out), but this seems like, well, a pretty big problem.
The Raneys, however, never seem fazed. Will they blame mischievous forest spirits? Unearth a buried treasure map that leads to a hidden spring? Or maybe just, you know, fix a leaky pipe?
And amidst all this spooky intrigue, they’re also helping the family build their dream cabin. Because apparently, impending starvation and thirst are no match for a little home renovation. Consider me officially intrigued (and maybe slightly terrified for these homesteaders).
