Alex Horne, the mastermind behind “Taskmaster,” is back with his band of merry musicians in “The Horne Section TV Show.” Season 2 picks up with Alex facing the trials and tribulations of his newfound fame. Now filming live from his family home, between stacks of unpaid bills, he struggles to maintain a semblance of control over his band and his life.
In the season premiere, “The Strength,” Alex’s musical credibility takes a hit after a cringe-worthy television appearance. Determined to prove he’s more than just a TV personality, he enters the band into “The World’s Strongest Musician” competition. Because, why not? As if things weren’t chaotic enough, production books musical polymath Reggie Watts as a guest. Channel 4 exec Ash is played by Georgia Tennant and production extraordinaire Thora is played by Desiree Burch.
