Ah, the joys of house hunting – stressful negotiations, questionable décor choices, and the inevitable clash of partner preferences. Channel 10’s “House Hunters Australia,” narrated by Georgie Tunny, returns to revel in the chaos this Friday, and the first-time viewers amongst us are about to discover why this series is an institution. In “Bridget & Paul,” the age-old battle of style versus practicality takes center stage.
Bridget dreams of a Hamptons-style cottage, complete with a sparkling pool for those hot Aussie summers. Paul, ever the pragmatist, pictures a place with “character” (read: fixer-upper potential) and, most importantly, a toolshed. Because every Australian homeowner needs a toolshed.
As they tour three potential properties, each with its unique mix of pluses, minuses, and quirky features, the question remains: can they find a place that satisfies both Bridget’s Pinterest board aspirations and Paul’s inner handyman? The fun, as always with “House Hunters,” is trying to predict the victor. Will it be Hamptons chic or toolshed triumph?
Find out on Channel 10, Friday, 16 May at 7:30 PM AEST.
