The age-old conflict between what we want and what our mothers want takes center stage this Monday on HGTV’s “House Hunters.” In “Dreams of Historic Charm in Oklahoma,” a newly single woman embarks on the hunt for her first post-divorce home in Norman, Oklahoma. She’s got her heart set on a charming bungalow steeped in history, envisioning a cozy space where she can start fresh. Her mother, however, has other ideas.
Mom, naturally, is worried. She wants her daughter in a safe, updated townhome, something low-maintenance and modern. The clash of visions sets the stage for the usual “House Hunters” tension. Will the daughter find a historic gem that wins over her overprotective mom? Or will Mom’s practicality prevail?
