HGTV’s “House Hunters International” takes viewers on a global real estate adventure this Thursday, landing in Nagoya, Japan. The episode, “Familiar or Foreign in Nagoya, Japan,” follows a Michigan family as they trade the Midwest for a new life abroad, thanks to a job opportunity. But as with many moves, especially international ones, finding the right home involves a little culture clash.
For the husband, the relocation represents a chance to immerse himself in a traditional Japanese experience, impacting his house-hunting priorities. His wife, however, with a toddler and a dog in tow, values the familiar comforts of home, which are not so easy to find halfway around the world. Can they bridge this cultural divide and find a place that satisfies both their desires?
Tune in to HGTV on Thursday, May 29 at 10:01 PM ET to see if this family can find common ground – and a home – in Nagoya.
